subtract \: 2 {x}^{2}  + 3x + 1 \:from \: 4 {x}^{2}  + 3x + 1

Hence ,

  = {4x}^{2}  + 7x + 6 - (2 {x }^{2}  + 3x + 1)

 =  {4x}^{2}  + 7x + 6 - 2 {x}^{2}  - 3x - 1

 =  {4x}^{2}  - 2 {x}^{2}  + 7x - 3x + 6 - 1

 = 2 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 5
