Given :

Weight of sulphur = 192 g

To find :

a)Number of gram atoms of sulphur

b)Number of atoms of sulphur

c)Number of moles of sulphur

d)Number of molecules of sulphur

Solution :

  • a) No of gram atoms = Given mass / molar mass

                                  = 192 / 32   =6

Number of gram atoms of sulphur is 6

  • b) No of atoms = 6×Nₐ

                                  = 6×6.023×10²³

                                  =36.12 ×10²³

Number of atoms of sulphur is 36.12 ×10²³

  • c) No of moles of sulphur = Given mass / Moleular mass

                                          = 192 /(32×8)   =0.75 moles

Number of moles of sulphur is 0.75 moles

  • d) No of molecules of sulphur = 0.75×6.023×10²³

                                                 = 4.515×10²³

Number of molecules of sulphur is 4.515×10²³
