let theta=x (coz theta sign is not avlbl)

 \frac{1 -  \tan(x) }{1 +  \tan(x) } =  \frac{1}{2}

cross multiplying

2 - 2 \tan(x)  = 1 +  \tan(x)

3 \tan(x)  = 1

 \tan(x)  =  \frac{1}{3}

as we know, tan x= 1/3, when x=30°

Thus, theta is 30°.
