Answer:

Answer: A 13 years and B 25 years

Solution: Suppose present age of A is x and B is y

as per given question x+y=48 and x/y = 3/5

This gives x= 0.6y

so 0.6y+y=48

1.6y=48

So y=48/1.6=30

And x = 0.6*30=18

Five years ago: A=18–5= 13 years and B=30–5=25 years
