\bf\bigstar{Question}

The area of the rhombus is 240 cm² and one of the diagonal is 16cm.

Find the other diagonal .

\bf\bigstar{Answer}

Given :

Area of a rhombus = 240 cm²

One of it's diagonal = 16 cm

To find :

It's other diagonal ?

Solution :

As we know that,

\bf{Area\:of\:a\:rhombus=\dfrac{1}{2}\bf{(diagonal\:x\:diagonal)}

Here , area is already given.

We can take the unknown diagonal as 'a'.

Then,

\longrightarrow\bf{AREA = }\bf\dfrac{1}{2}\bf{(16\:x\:a)}

\longrightarrow\bf{240=\dfrac{1}{2}(16\:x\:a)

\longrightarrow\bf{240\:x\:2= (16a)

\longrightarrow\bf{480= 16a}

\longrightarrow\bf{\dfrac{480}{16}=a}

\longrightarrow\bf{30 = a}

∴ The other diagonal = 30 cm.

\huge{\boxed{\bf{Other\:diagonal= 30\:cm}}}
