1 .The base of the triangle is 6 and height 7. The base of another triangle is 14 and height 8 . find the ratio of the areas of these triangle.​

Area of 1st triangle

$= \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height$

$= \frac{1}{2} \times 6 \times 7$

=3×7

21 units

Area of 2nd triangle

$= \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height$

$= \frac{1}{2} \times 14 \times 8$

=7×8

=56 units

Ratio

$= \frac{area \: of \: 1st \: triangle}{ \: area \: of \: 2nd \: triangle}$

$= \frac{21}{56}$

=21:56
