The best way to judge the accuracy of measurement is through

d) All of them.

  • The positive error that is made while measuring something is known as the absolute error. For example, if the length of a rope is 3.0m and after measurement, it is found that the length is 2.98m, then 0.02 is the absolute error. While measurement the accuracy can be found out if we know the absolute error and try to make it correct.
  • The ratio of absolute error and actual value in measurement is called relative error. If we know the absolute error of something and the relative error we can know the actual measure of the material.
  • The product of relative and absolute error will provide us with the total error in the calculation and then it can be removed and the actual measurement can then be found out.
