1.Molars. Molars are the biggest of all the teeth. They have a large, flat surface with ridges that allow them to chew food and grind it up.

2.As the teeth tear and chop the food, spit moistens it for easy swallowing. A digestive enzyme in saliva called amylase (pronounced: AH-meh-lace) starts to break down some of the carbohydrates (starches and sugars) in the food even before it leaves the mouth.

3.Blood brings oxygen and nutrients to all the parts of the body so they can keep working.
