Mourad and Aram has stolen a horse for riding. They kept the horse along with them. Stealing the horse have many problems, they search the food for the horse. The author says stealing is not stealing. The horse is said to be stolen only when it is sold for money. Later, they regret to do their habit of stealing and they returned it. The horse, the act of stealing made them feel guilty at last they decided to leave the horse.

The boys were impressed by John Byro’s attitude towards their parents and family. He knew their parents very well and so believed whatever the boys said. Secondly, the fame of their family for honesty was well-known to him. The boys returned the horse to him for the sake of family pride and dignity.
