Given,

A carpet length=15m

width of carpet=75m

cost of carpet=80Rs. p.m.

Total cost=19,200 Rs.

also, given, to find out the width of the room.

Let, the width of the room be 'b' m.

∴ Area of the room=L×b=15×b=15b m^2

(∵ Area of Rectangle=L×b)

Length of the carpet= totalcost/ cost per meter

= 80/19200

Length of the carpet=240m

as given 'W' of the carpet=75m

Area of the carpet=240×75=18000

Area of the room=Area of carpet

⇒15b=18000

or, b= 18000/ 15

=1200m

∴ The width of the room=1200m or 12cm.
