Answer:

1. Radius of the wheel =

 \\  \frac{70}{2} cm \:  = 35cm

Circumference of the wheel

 = 2\pi \: r

 = (2 \times  \dfrac{22}{7}  \times 35)cm

= 2×22×5 cm

= 220 cm = 2.20 cm

In one revolution, the wheel covers a equal distance to its circumference.

∴ distance covered by the wheel in 1 revolution= 2.20 m

∴ distance covered by the wheel in 500 revolutions = (2.20 × 500)m

= 110000m

2. Length of the rectangle = 24cm

Breadth of the rectangle = 15cm

As we know,

Perimeter = 2(Length + breadth)cm

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2( 24 + 15 ) cm

= 2 × 39 cm

= 78cm
