Given:

  • Diameter of base of cylinder, D = 14 cm
  • Radius of base of cylinder, r = 14/2 = 7 cm
  • Height of cylinder, h = 10 cm

Need to find:

  • Total surface area of cylinder?

Solution:

We know that,

Total surface area of cylinder = 2πr( r + h)

Where,

r and h are "radius" and "height" of cylinder respectively.

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × 7(7 + 10)

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 17

⇒ 2 × 22 × 17

748 cm²

Hence, The total surface area of cylinder is 748cm².

Solution

_________________________

Given,

  • the diameter of the base of cylinder = 14cm
  • the radius of base of cylinder = R = D/2 = 14/2 = 7cm
  • the height of the cylinder = 10cm

To find ,

  • we have to find here the total surface area of the cylinder .

We know that ,

To find the T.S.A ( total surface area ) we have to use the formula = 2πr (r +h ) .

now putting the value we get ;

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 7(7 + 10)

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{ \cancel{7}} \times  \cancel{7} \times 17

 = 2 \times 22 \times 17

 = 748 {cm}^{2}

The total surface area of the cylinder is 748cm^2 .
