the net force acting on the body is zero. In other words all the forces acting on it are balance by equal and opposite force.

Now answering your question, since body is at rest the gravitational force acting on it is balance by equal and opposite force. In case of the body resting on something that force is balanced by equal and opposite normal reaction (as shown in Rahul Gautam’s answer). And if the body is hanging in air then the gravitational force is balanced by tension in the string or whatever it is hanging through.
