EXPLANATION.

The gravitational force between two bodies

of masses = 5 X 10² kg and 2 X 10³ kg

seperate by a distance = 2 X 10³

To find the force.

mass of first body = M1 = 5 X 10² kg

mass of second body = M2 = 2 X 10³ kg

Distance = d = 2 X 10³ m

Formula of gravitational force.

  \sf \to \: f \: = \dfrac{g m_{1} m_{2} }{ {d}^{2} } \\ \\ \sf \to \: f \: = \dfrac{6.67 \times 10 {}^{ - 11} \times 5 \times 10 {}^{2} \times 2 \times {10}^{3} }{(2 \times {10}^{3}) {}^{2} } \\ \\ \sf \to \: f \: = \dfrac{6.67 \times {10}^{ - 11} \times 10 \times 10 {}^{5} }{4 \times 10 {}^{6} } \\ \\ \sf \to \: f \: = \dfrac{6.67 \times 10 {}^{ - 11} \times 10 {}^{6} }{4 \times 10 {}^{6} } \\ \\ \sf \to \: f \: = \dfrac{6.67 \times 10 {}^{ - 11} }{4} \\ \\ \sf \to \: f \: = 1.66 \times 10 {}^{ - 11 } \: n

Explanation:

According to Law of Gravitation:

Force is directly proportional to mass of two bodies and inversely proportional to the square of distance between them.

→ F = Gm1m2/r²

From above we have, m1 is 5 × 10^2 kg, m2 is 2 × 10^3 kg, r is 2 × 10^3 m and G is 6.67 × 10^-11 Nm/kg²

Substitute the values,

→ F = (6.67 × 10^-11 × 5 × 10^2 × 2 × 10^3)/(2 × 10^3)²

→ F = (6.67 × 10 × 10^(-11 + 5))/(4 × 10^6)

→ F = 1.6675 × 10 × 10^(-6 - 6)

→ F = 1.6675 × 10^(-12 + 1)

→ F = 1.6675 × 10^-11 N

Hence, the gravitational force between them is 1.6675 × 10^-11N.
