Answer:

Given,

HCF of the two numbers=20

LCM of the two numbers=240

One of the two numbers=60

We know, Product of the nos. = HCF×LCM

⇒20(240)=60x  (let the other number be x.)

   ⇒20(4)=x

    ⇒80=x.

∴ The value of the other number is 80.

Answer: HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or

HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or20*240 = 60*x or

HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or20*240 = 60*x orx = 20*240/60 = 80.

HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or20*240 = 60*x orx = 20*240/60 = 80.The other number is 80.

HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or20*240 = 60*x orx = 20*240/60 = 80.The other number is 80.Check:

HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or20*240 = 60*x orx = 20*240/60 = 80.The other number is 80.Check:60 = 2x2x3x5

HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or20*240 = 60*x orx = 20*240/60 = 80.The other number is 80.Check:60 = 2x2x3x580 = 2x2x2x2x5

HCF*LCM = product of the two numbers. Or20*240 = 60*x orx = 20*240/60 = 80.The other number is 80.Check:60 = 2x2x3x580 = 2x2x2x2x5HCF = 2x2x5 = 20, and LCM = 2x2x2x2x3x5 = 240. Correct.

The other number is 80
