Answer:

formula of curved surface area = 2πrh

formula of total surface area= 2πrh+πr²

r = 12cm

h= 16 cm

curved surface area= 2*3.14*12*16=1205.76 cm²

total surface area= 1205.76 + 3.14*12*12=1205.76+452.16=1657.92 cm²

Answer:

CSA of a cone = πrl

h= 16cm (given)

r=12cm (also given)

l=?

we know that, l^2= h^2 + r^2

l^2= 16^2+12^2

l^2=256+144

l^2=400

l=√400

l=20cm

now, we will find CSA=πrl (takeπ=3.14)

CSA= 3.14×12×20

CSA= 753.6 cm

now,TSA= πr(l+r)

TSA= 3.14×12(20 +12)

TSA= 3.14×12(32)

TSA= 1205.76 cm^2. Answer.
