Answer:

Area of cardboards = l×b

Area of 1st cardboard = 11/5 × 6/5 = 66/25 m^2

It is divided into 10 pieces

Area of each piece = 33/125 m^2

Area of 5 pieces = 5 × 33/125 = 33/25m^2

Area of second cardboard = 16/5 × 12/5 =

192/25 m^2

Area of each piece = 96/125m^2

Area of 3 pieces = 3 × 96/125

= 288/125 m^2

Total area of cardboard taken out

= 33/25 + 288/125

= 165/125 + 288/125

= 453/288 m^2

Hope it helps.

Hello!

Solution:

Given length of 1st cardboard = 10m

Given breadth of 1st cardboard = 5m

Area of 1st cardboard = length*breadth

= 10m *5m

= 50 m^2

Dividing into 10 pieces = 50/10 = 5 m^2

Length of 2nd cardboard = 15m

breadth of 2nd cardboard = 8m

Area of 2nd cardboard = length*breadth

= 15m*8m

= 120m^2

Dividing into 10 pieces = 120/10=12m^2

Area of each piece of 1st cardboard = 5m^2

Area of 6 cardboard pieces = 5*6

= 30m^2

Area of each piece of 2nd cardboard = 12m^2

Area of 4 cardboard pieces = 12*4

= 48m^2

Hope this helps
