Step-by-step explanation:

The length of rectangular room = 12.5m

The breadth of rectangular room = 9.6m

Hence it's area = l x b = 12.5 x 9.6 = 120m

The side of square shaped room = 11m

Hence it's area = side x side = 11 × 11 = 121m

Therefore square shaped room is greater in area by 1m.
