Step-by-step explanation:

let the length of the rectangle be 3x

and breadth = 5x

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

= 2 ( 3x + 5x ) = 48

= 2 ( 8x ) = 48

16x = 48

x = 48/16

= x = 3

so length of the rectangle = 3x

= 3 × 3

= 9cm.

Answer:

Let the length be 3x and Breadth be 5x

Thus Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2( 3x + 5x) =48

= 2( 8x) =48

= 16x =48

 =  \frac{48}{16}

= x= 3

So Length of Rectangle = 3 x

= 3×3

= 9cm
