Let breadth of the rectangle be 'b' cm.

So length of the rectangle will be 'b+2' cm.

Now

\longmapsto\tt{Perimeter = 48}

\longmapsto\tt{2(l+b)=48}

\longmapsto\tt{2(b+2+b)=48}

\longmapsto\tt{2b+2=24}

\longmapsto\tt{2b=22}

\longmapsto\tt{b=11 \:  cm}

\longmapsto\tt{l=b+2=13  \: cm}

Then,

\longmapsto\tt{Area  \: of  \: the  \: rectangle = \: lb}

\longmapsto\tt{13×11}

\longmapsto\tt{143  \: cm²}
