1.The length of a rectangle is 3 times its width. If the width of the rectangle is 5 inches, what is the rectangle's area, in square inches? ​

Answer :

Let the width of the rectangle be x inch. Then, it's length = 3x

It is given that, width of the rectangle is 5 inches.

Length = 3 * width

Length = 3 * 5 = 15 inches

Area of rectangle = l * w

⇒ Area = 5 * 15

⇒ Area = 75 square inches

Hence, the area of rectangle is 75 sq. inches.

Breadth(B) =5 inches

length (L)=15 inches

Area=L×B

=5×15

=75inches
