Answer:

Given , Length = 2r-3

breadth = r-1

Area of a rectangle = Length X Breadth

                                = (2r-3) x (r-1)

                                = 2r^{2} -2r -3r +3

 Area of a rectangle =  2r^{2} -5r +3

Please note that the question is incomplete if there is no perimeter given. Do we have to give the answer in the context of r? If yes, this is the explanation with answer.

Area = l x b

= (2r -3) x (r - 1)

= 2r^{2} - 2r - 3r + 3

= 2r^{2}  - 5r + 3

= 2r^{2} + r - 6r +3

= r(2r+1) - 3(2r - 1)
