(1) Let the sides of rectangle which are in ratio be 11x and 10x respectively...
Now,
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
=> 84 = 2(11x + 10x)
=> 21x = 42
=> x = 2
Then, Length of rectangle = 11*2
=> length = 22 cm.
And breadth of rectangle = 10*2
=> breadth = 20 cm.
Therefore,
Area of Rectangle = l*b
=> Area of Rectangle = 22*20
=> Area of Rectangle = 440 cm^2.....
(2) let the breadth of rectangle be x m.
Then, Length of rectangle = x + 27 m
Now,
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
=> 110 = 2(x +27 + x)
=> 2x + 27 = 55
=> 2x = 28
=> x = 14 m.
Therefore, breadth = 14 m
And, length = 27 + 14
=> length = 41 m.
Now,
Area of Rect = lb
=> Area = 41*14
=> Area = 574 m^2...
