\sf{Answer}

Step-by-step-explanation

Given data :-

40, 52, 34, 47, 31, 35, 48, 41, 44, 38

To find:-

Median of data

Solution:-

Median is nothing but middle most number

To find median first arrange in ascending/descending order

31,34,35,38,40,41,44,47,48,52

No.of observations = 10 = n

Formula :- n/2 + n/2 + 1 /2

= 10/2 + 10/2+1/2

= 5 + 6/2

= 5th term + 6th term / 2

= 40 + 41 /2

= 81 /2

= 40.5

Hence median of data is 40.5 (2)

Answer:

40.5

Step-by-step explanation:

n=10

Median=(n/2)th term +(n/2+1)÷2

Median=(10/2)th term +(10/2+1)÷2

Median=5th term+ 6th term÷2

Median=40+41÷2

Median=81÷2

Median=40.5
