The numerator is x-2 .

As per the given information ,

\frac{x-2+3}{x+3} = \frac{3}{4}

4(x-2+3)=3(x+3)

4x+4=3x+9

4x+3x=9-4

7x=5

x=\frac{5}{7}

x=0.71
