x+y=2..........(1)

2x+3y=2......(2)

From eq. (1) x=2-y

substituted in eq . (2) ,we have

2x+3y=2

2(2-y)+3y=2

4-2y+3y=2

y= -2

Then ,y= -2 put in eq .(1)

x+(-2)=2

x=4.
