1. The Parliament is the supreme legislative body of India. It consists of the President, and the two Houses - Lok-Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Important decisions regarding the country are taken here. But in the medieval times, kings were the supreme authority. King Rajaraja of Chola dynasty built Rajarajeshwara temple. Beside the temple, there are palaces with 'mandapas' (a pillared outdoor hall or pavilion for public rituals). What were the mandapas/pavilions used for?

(a) For imparting knowledge of art and craft to women (b) For training soldiers

(c) For meeting of assemblies and carrying out administrative works and issuing orders.

Answer:

Your answer is C.

Explanation:

It is C because because for cooking food they have separate kitchens. In medieval times, women were not allowed to participate in things like art and craft. For training soldiers, the kingdom has special grounds or open areas because training soldiers includes fighting with swords and shooting arrows which cannot be done in any type of building.
