1) The perimeter of a rectangle is 40 cm. The length of the rectangle is
more than double its breadth by 2. Find length and breadth.

Answer:

length = 2* breadth +2

l=2b+2

p=40(given)

l*b=40

2(l+b)=40

2(2b+2+b)=40

2b+2+b=20

3b=20-2

3b=18

b=6

and as we know l=2b+2

l=2*6+2

therefore l=14
