Given :   The perimeter of a rhombus is 20 m and one of its diagonal is 6m long

To Find : length of the other diagonal.

Solution:

Let say length of other diagonal = 2d  m

Then rhombus side²   = (diagonal1/2)²  +  (diagonal2/2)²

rhombus side = Perimeter/4  = 20/4 = 5 m

diagonal1/2 = 6/2 = 3 m

diagonal2/2 = 2d/2 = d m

=> 5² = 3² + d²

=> d² = 5² - 3²

=> d² = 16

=> d = 4

2d = 8

length of the other diagonal. = 8 m

The sides of triangle are x,x+1,2x - 1

s = (x + x + 1 + 2x - 1)/2  = 2x

Area = √2x(2x - x)(2x - (x + 1))(2x -(2x - 1))

= √2x.x(x - 1)1

=x√2√x  - 1

x√2√x  - 1  = 10x

=> 2(x  - 1) = 100

=> x  -  1= 50

=> x = 51
