so then we know that perimeter of isoceles triangle =2×confmgruent side+base

so substitute given values

ie

131/20=(2×7)/5+base

131/20=14/5+base

multiply (14/5) by 4

we get

131/20=56/20+base

solve it we get base=85/20

ie base=3.75 cm

hence length of third side is 3.75 cm
