so let tje base be x
now the congruent sides will be x+3
perimeter is given =30
so
(x+3)+(x+3)+x=30
x+3+x+3+x=30
it becomes
3x+6=30
3x=30-6
3x=24
x=24/3
x=8

Linakshi: Thnx...and why is the solution of 2nd one
Linakshi: Why*

Answer: X=85,Y=12

Step-by-step explanation:

Let greater number be X and smaller number be y

According to first condition,

X + y =97.......(i)

We know that,

Dividend=

divisor×quotient+remainder

Therefore,

X=y×7+1

X=7y+1 .....(ii)

Putting value of equation 2 in equation 1

X+y=97

7y+1+y=97

8y+1=97

8y=97-1

8y=96

Y=96/8

Y=12.

Therefore,

X+y=97

X=97-12

X=85.
