b) Prayagraj
- The Allahabad Pillar which is also known as The Prayaga Prashasti is a stambha that was either built by the great Ashoka, the emperor of the Maurya dynasty who ruled in the third century BCE, or it may have been created earlier than that. It contains one of Ashoka's pillar edicts. It is noteworthy for having later inscriptions attributed to the Gupta monarch Samudragupta, even though it is one of the very few remaining pillars with Ashokan edicts of the 4th century CE. Inscriptions from the 17th-century Mughal ruler Jahangir are also inscribed on the stone.
- Some academics contend that Emperor Akbar personally transported the pillar from its original spot and had it put inside the Allahabad Fort in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Hence, option b is correct.
