45

Given:-

•Price of the stock decreases 45 rupees per day for four consecutive days.

To Find:-

•What was the total change in value of the stock over 4 day period?

Solution:-

  \: \: \sf \therefore \: decrease \: in \: given \: stock \: daily \: = 45rupees \\ \\ \: \: \sf \because \: decrease \: in \: 4 \: days \: stock = 45 \times 4 = 180 \: rupees

Let consider the price of stock be x and Let the after 4 consecutive day price of stock be x -180.

Using Formula:

 \: \: \sf \: net \: charge = current \: price - actual \: price

Now substitue the values

 \: \: \sf \: net \: charge = x - 180 - x \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: net \: charge = - 180 \: rupees

Hence,net charge is -180 rupees.

Negative sign depicts the decrease in price and we know that price never in decrease sign.

Thus, after four consecutive days stock price will decreases by 180 rupees.
