Solution :-

Let us assume that, the amount invested is Rs. 50x and amount received is Rs. 80x .

So,

→ Simple Interest = Amount - Principal = 80x - 50x = Rs. 30x .

→ Time = 5 years .

→ Rate = R % per annum .

then,

→ SI = (P * R * T)/100

putting value,

→ 30x = (50x * R * 5)/100

→ 30x = (5x * R)/2

→ 60x = 5x * R

→ R = 12% per annum (Ans.)
