1) The ratio of the speeds of two vehicles is 2:3. If the first vehicle covers a distance of 270 km in 3 hours,
then how much distance will the second vehicle cover in 2 hours?

Let the speed of the first vechicle be=2x

and second vechicle be=3x

speed=distance/time

speed of 1st vechicle=50/3

2x=50/3

x=50/3×2

x=25/3km/h

Therefore speed of second vechicle =

3 \times 25 \div 3 = 253×25÷3=25

distance=speed×time

=25×2=50on
