2.Rises in the satpura range in betul district of Madhya Pradesh and drains into Arabian Sea . The Tapi Basin is located in the northern part of the decan Plateau and extend up to Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat. The Tapi Basin is around by three rivers. Purna is the main tributary in the Tapi Basin.

3.Some important features of the Brahmaputra river system are: (i) The Bralunaputra rises in Tibet east of Mansarovar lake. It is slightly longer than the Indus and most of its course lies outside India. (ii) It has a braided channel in its entire length in Assam and forms many riverine islands.
