The first statement is true, while the second is false.

1. 1. Set of even numbers less than 21  = 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18 and 20

Thus, total cardinal numbers = 10

Set of odd numbers less than 21 = 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17 and 19

Thus, total cardinal numbers = 10

Since in both sets cardinal numbers are 10, thus -

Even natural numbers less than 21 and set of odd natural numbers less

than 21 are equivalent sets.

2. E = Factors of the digit 16, which are 1,2,4,8 and 16

1 x 16 = 16, 2 x 8 = 16 and 4 x 4 = 16

Similarly,

Factors of the digit 20, which are 1, 2, 4, 5, 10 and 20

1 x 20 = 20, 2 x 10 = 20 and 4 x 5 = 20

Thus, elements of set E and F are not identical.

Therefore, the statement is false.
