We know that,

• a = Area

By the formula,

Given that,

a = 1 m

b = 1.2 m

h = 0.8 m

Substituting their values,

= 1/2 × (1 + 1.2) × 0.8

= 0.88

Therefore, the area of top surface of the table is 0.88 m².
