Answer:

1. 34

2. 45

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let the number of students in the class be x

Therefore, contribution by each student is Rs.'x '

According to question, x×x=1156

x ² =1156

⇒x=  √1156

⇒x=  √34²

⇒x=34

The strength of the class is 34 students.

2. Given:

The number of rows = The number of chairs in each row

Total chair capacity of the auditorium is 2025

To find:

The number of chairs in each row.

Solution:

Let, the number of rows in that auditorium = x [ Assume, x as a variable to do the further mathematical calculations.]

According to the data mentioned in the question, the number of chairs in each row will be also x.

So,the total chair capacity of the auditorium= x × x = x²

Now, if we compare the value of the total chair capacity of the auditorium given in the question and the total chair capacity that we have calculated, then we will get the following mathematical equation :

x² = 2025

x = ✓2025

x = 45

Hence, there are 45 chairs in each row of that auditorium.

Hope it helps..
