Solution:

1. Let x be the first number.
Let x + 50 be the second number.

(x) + (x + 50) = 450

x + x + 50 = 450

2x + 50 = 450

2x = 450 - 50

2x = 400

x = 200

Therefore:

x = 200

x + 50 = 250

2. Let x be the first number.
Let x - 50 be the second number.

(x) + (x - 50) = 450

x + x - 50 = 450

2x - 50 = 450

2x = 450 + 50

2x = 500

x = 250

Therefore,

x = 250

x - 50 = 200

3. Let x be the first number.
Let x + 50 be the second number.

(x) + (x + 50) = 200

x + x + 50 = 200

2x + 50 = 200

2x = 200 - 50

2x = 150

x = 75

Therefore:

x = 75

x + 50 = 125

Hope it will help.
