- the distance covered by the object is actually equal to the area which is covered under the graph from the time interval 0 7 to the time interval 8 second. This will be an addition because the displacement is a scalar quantity.
- For the first interval from 0 to 6 second, the distance is equal to
x6x20 = 60 meter
- for the second time interval from 6 second to 8 second the distance is equal to
- x 20x 2= 20meter
- So the total distance covered is equal to 80 meter
