Explanation:

In static equilibrium all the forces acted have an equal and opposite forces.

For rotational motion the sum of torque at any point is equal to zero.

 So, two rods will remain constant even if an additional force is applied at the center mass of the rod  act on the mid point of the rod which can be equate by opposite forces.
