Let speed of Train A=x km/hr
Train B leaves the station after 7 hrs
Speed of train B=152 km/hr
Train B catches train A in 9 hrs
Distance travelled by Train B=152×9=1368 km
Train A travelled 1368 km in 16 hr(7+9 hr)
Speed of Train A=1368÷16=85.5 km/hr
Train B leaves the station after 7 hrs
Speed of train B=152 km/hr
Train B catches train A in 9 hrs
Distance travelled by Train B=152×9=1368 km
Train A travelled 1368 km in 16 hr(7+9 hr)
Speed of Train A=1368÷16=85.5 km/hr

Let the speed of train a be x
Distance covered by train a in 16 hrs (9+7) = distance covered by train b in 9 hours
Therefore, 16x = 9×152
x = 171/2
x= 85.5km/hr
Therefore , speed of train a is 85.5km/hr.
