Step-by-step explanation:

1)

Given:-

Two complementary angles are in the ratio 7: 8

To find:-

Find the angles.

Solution:-

The ratio of two complementary angles = 7:8

Let they be 7X° and 8X°

We know that

The sum of two angles is 90° then they are called Complementary angles

=>7X°+8X°=90°

=>15X°=90°

=>X°=90°/15

=>X°=6°

=>7X°=7×6°=42°

=>8X°=8×6°=48°

Answer:-

The two complementary angles are 42° and 48°

Used formula:-

The sum of two angles is 90° then they are called Complementary angles

If an angle X° then it's Complementary angle is (90-X)°

2)

Given:-

Two supplementary angles are in the ratio 7: 11.

To find:-

Find the angles.

Solution:-

The ratio of two supplementary angles = 7:11

Let they be 7X° and 11X°

We know that

" The sum of two angles is 180° ,then they are called Supplementary angles".

=>7X°+11X°=180°

=>18X°=180°

=>X°=180°/18

=>X°=10°

=>7X°=7×10°=70°

=>11X°=11×10°=110°

Answer:-

The two supplementary angles are 70° and 110°

Used formula:-

" The sum of two angles is 180° ,then they are called Supplementary angles".

If an angle X° then it's supplementary angle is (180-X)°
