Answer -

We are given ratio of two numbers and their HCF and we are asked to find the numbers.

  • Let the numbers be 21x and 17x
  • HCF of the number is 5

HCF of a number is the highest common factor of the given numbers.

As we are given HCF of the numbers, we can find the numbers by multiplying the numbers by HCF. So we get the value of x as 5.

\implies\sf 21 \times 5 = 105

\implies\sf 17 \times 5 = 85

Numbers = 105 and 85.
