Step-by-step explanation:

1) let the numbers be 7x and 8x

after adding 3 to the first and 8 to the second,

7x + 3 and 8x + 8

their ratio is 3:4

=> 7x + 3 / 8x + 8 = 3 / 4

=> 4(7x + 3) = 3(8x + 8)

=> 28x + 12 = 24x + 24

=> 28x - 24x = 24 - 12

=> 4x = 12

=> x = 3

therefore numbers are 7*3 and 8*3

=> 21 and 24

Step-by-step explanation:

3. P = 5000 , R = 6% , T = 3yrs

1st yr interest = 5000 × 6 × 1 / 100 = ₹ 300

Amt at end yr => ₹ 5000 + 300 = ₹ 5300

2nd yr interest = 5300 × 6 × 1 / 100 = ₹ 318

Amt at end yr => ₹ 5300 + 318 = ₹ 5618

3rd yr interest = 5618 × 6 × 1 / 100 = ₹ 337.08

Amt at end yr => ₹ 5618 + 337.08 = 5955.08

compound interest = Amt - Principle

5955.08 - 5000 = 955.08
