Particle will reach apex when v(t) = 0, if starting from ground level, then time to hit the ground is twice the time to reach apex.

Solve equation for v(t) = 0, then multiply by 2

Apply to both particles A and B

TA=2∗sin(30)(2V)9.8=V4.9  

TB=2∗sin(60)(V)9.8=.866V4.9  

TB<TA  

Therefore, particle B will hit the ground first.
