so resultant resistance will be 1/r=1/4 + 1/6
=r=2.4 ohm (24/(6+4))
applying ohm's law V=IR
I=0.5 A
V=0.5*2.4=1.2 v

current in 4ohm resistor=I=V/R
=1.2/4=0.3 A
