Answer:

The answer is 0.49 A

Explanation:

Power is the product of voltage (V) and current (I).

P=V x I Watts

Therefore, Current = Power/Voltage

In parallel circuit, the voltage across each bulb  is the same

For the 1st bulb

Power = 50 W and Voltage =220 V

∴ Current = 50/220

Current = 0.22 A

For 2nd bulb,

Power = 60 W and Voltage =220 V

∴ Current = 60/220

Current   = 0.27 A

Total current flowing = Current in 1st bulb + Current in 2nd bulb.

    = 0.22 + 0.27

    =  0.49 A.
