 \frac{1}{ \sqrt{9} }  -  \sqrt{8}

 \frac{1}{3}  - 2 \sqrt{2}

 \frac{1}{3}  -  \frac{3(2 \sqrt{2} )}{1 \times 3}

 \frac{1 - 6 \sqrt{2} }{3}
